23 degrees at 8.45 am and we have already had a look at The Tree of Knowledge at Barcaldine and are now on the road heading towards
Longreach. Morning tea at Ilfracombe
where there are lots of old tractors & trucks along the side of the road
forming a museum of sorts. Had to take a couple of silly photos of me driving a
tractor and Maree posing on a truck…….just for fun. Onto Longreach and just turned the corner
on the highway and spotted the 747 at the QANTAS Museum. All the boys went into the Museum to have a
look around which they all found very interesting. Lunch at The Apex Park
before heading further up the track towards Winton. 31 degrees at 1.00pm as we pass the 165km
mark up to Winton. We have pulled onto a
reserve at the end of a dead end road for the night. Caravan Parks here at Winton are very
ordinary and $30 a night, none of us happy to pay for a very crummy Caravan Park.
