Sunday 18th May - El Questro Day Trip

Up and about reasonably early this morning to trek out to El Questro and have a look around. Plan was to have a swim at Emma Gorge which looks absolutely brilliant in all the brochures.  The road off Gibb River Rd into El Questro was very rough and corragated with a couple of river crossings including The Pentacost River right at El Questro. A bit disappointed with El Questro, not at all like I was expecting, I was assuming that it would be like a real oasis after traveling 17kms on a crappy road to get there.  Instead it was very commercialised and just very ordinary. Left there and called into Emma Gorge which looked a lot nicer but they were charging $12 each for a park permit to walk to the swimming hole.  Instead we all had an ice-cream and left.
