Thursday 15th May - Timber Creek - Kununurra

Left Timber Creek this moroning on our way to Kununurra and approx 15kms down the road we saw 2 Jabiru's on the side of the road. First ones we have seen for the trip.  Still haven't seen any Eagles so a bit disappointed about that. Also saw some "crocodile trees" that Neville the guide pointed out to us last night. I don't really believe that is the name of them as I am unable to find any reference on Google.  The bark looks like a crocodile skin so I think that is why he named them that. Crossed the NT / WA border around lunchtime and have now been in 4 States and One Territory of our great country so far this trip.  Only missing TAS and SA, Oh and ACT of course. Turned back our clocks 1.5 hours when we crossed the border and have nearly arrived before we left....!!!!! hahahah  Now all settled at the Ivanhoe Caravan Park for 4 nights so we can have a good look around and Barry and I are driving up to Wyndham for the day on Saturday.  This afternoon we went up to Kellys Lookout to have a birds eye look at Kununurra and took a few photos of all the rocks up there,  we were hoping to have fish & chips and watch the sunset but not really suitable.....sad. Tomorrow we are off to ElQuestro for the day as we have decided not to take the caravans in as there are tidal water crossings.
