Up and on the road at 6.30am WA time which is 8.00am NT
time. Have a reasonably big day of
travel to get back to Katherine where we will stock up before heading on. I know I am beginning to sound boring but we
have another glorious day. Morning tea
at Saddle Creek which was where we
stopped on the way over to Kununurra.
Free camp for the night is going to be at Vince Connolly Crossing which
was also the camp going to Kununurra. We
figure when you are on a good thing stick to it and these spots were quite
nice. Happy hour we met up with a couple from Geelong, Sue & Jim, traveling
in a small motorhome. They are doing a
“Pub Crawl” using a beautiful glossy book given to Jim by his grandson. It has all the really old pubs in Australia
in it and they are trying to see as many as they possibly can. Very interesting to hear their yarns. During
the night we heard Curlews, and Wild Dogs or Dingos howling, glad they were in
the distance. Tomorrow morning into Katherine, which is only 58kms away to
shop, fuel and be on our way.
