We are hoping to find a nice camp at Edith Falls today
(Tuesday 29/4/14) so that we can stay a couple of nights. In 2011 when we came through with Joy &
Wayne, it was full, so didn’t get a chance to experience it. We managed a swim in the Plunge Pool but were
not able to camp in the campground.
Thankfully this time we are a little earlier in the season and have
managed to get some really nice shady sites with lawn for a great place to sit
and read as well as enjoy happy hour.
Maree and I walked up to the top pool this morning which is a 2.6km
round trip. Beautiful scenery and glad
we did it early as the pair of us were sweating like you would not believe by
the time we got back, headed straight to the plunge pool to cool off. Quite a difficult walk but well worth
it. Very hot nights for sleeping, and no power being in the National Park so no
fans or air conditioning or Generators………!!! From here we will head to Douglas Daly Tourist
Camp which is a Caravan Park so we will be able to cool down a little. It is still very humid in the Top End as the
“Wet Season” has only just finished.
